The Family 5K Plan was created by GO FAR to help you prepare for and complete a 5K run. You will train for eight weeks and complete the culminating run in your neighborhood or in a safe place in your community. Each week’s plan will include the following components:

GO STRONG LESSONS explore a positive character traits, muscle groups, nutrition tips, and running best practices.

THE 30-MINUTE WORKOUT (plus warm-up and cool down) is the foundation of the program, providing a training schedule that will prepare you to run in a 5K race. Each workout is designed to help build endurance and stamina over the 8-week training period.

HELPFUL TIPS for staying safe and getting the most out of each run.

GO THE EXTRA MILE and apply the skills learned in each week’s lesson. This is a
great way to challenge other family members and encourage each other to meet your goals.
